Balanced & Technical

The Letshuoer S12 Ultra's single 14.8 mm planar starts and stops notes fast, and this version fixes the sharp treble earlier S12s were known for without losing the speed, which suits electronic music, metal and busy mixes. It's cool and clear rather than warm, with tidy rather than big bass, and the included DT01 Pro DAC cable gives it the push a bare phone can't.

What others ask  about Letshuoer S12 Ultra

Is the bass on the Letshuoer S12 Ultra sub-bass focused or mid-bass punchy?

It leans sub-bass. The Letshuoer S12 Ultra has natural depth in the rumble and a controlled, fast mid-bass, which is what a single planar driver (a thin flat film instead of a cone) does well. Bass notes start and stop quickly and never blur. What you don't get is the round, physical thump of a dynamic driver.

How do vocals sound on the Letshuoer S12 Ultra?

Natural and even. The Letshuoer S12 Ultra doesn't push voices forward or pull them back, and they come through clean with the same speed as everything else. It's a neutral-leaning set, so singers don't get extra warmth or body added.

Is the treble on the Letshuoer S12 Ultra smooth, sparkly or sharp?

Crisp, and no longer sharp. Earlier versions of the S12 had a reputation for being too sharp up top, and the Letshuoer S12 Ultra fixes that without sanding off the speed. That is the reason the S12 Ultra is here and the S12 Pro is not. It's still an energetic treble, so very sensitive ears should try it first.

Is the Letshuoer S12 Ultra fatiguing over long sessions?

Much less than its reputation suggests. The older S12 models could wear you out with sharp treble, and the Letshuoer S12 Ultra was retuned to fix exactly that. The compact metal shell sits flush and stays comfortable through long sessions. It remains a lively, crisp listen and not a relaxed one, so for background listening all day I'd still choose something warmer.

Is the soundstage of the Letshuoer S12 Ultra intimate or wide?

Wide. The Letshuoer S12 Ultra has the open, spread-out presentation planar drivers are known for, and its speed keeps instruments cleanly separated even when a track gets busy. Fast electronic music and metal benefit most.

Does the Letshuoer S12 Ultra fit smaller ears?

Yes. The Letshuoer S12 Ultra has a compact CNC metal shell that sits small and flush in the ear, and it stays comfortable through long sessions. Metal weighs a bit more than resin, so a tip that grips well helps. It's one of the first sets I'd suggest for smaller ears.
