The Letshuoer Mystic 8 runs eight balanced armatures and no dynamic driver, which puts voices right up front against a very quiet background, perfect for vocal jazz, string quartets and well-recorded acoustic music. The bass was the one thing I missed when I auditioned it, quick but modest, and the sparkly upper treble can tire very sensitive ears at high volume.

Neither, and that's the tradeoff you accept with the Letshuoer Mystic 8. Eight balanced armatures and no dynamic driver mean bass that is fast, clean and light, with little rumble and little punch. For my own taste it's too light, even though I think this set is great at everything else.

Crisp and refined. The treble on the Letshuoer Mystic 8 comes from Sonion and Knowles balanced armatures, and it's detailed and clean without any splash. There's a lift in the upper treble that adds air, which very treble-sensitive listeners may find tiring at high volume. It rewards a good source, so pair it with at least a mid-tier dongle.

Is the Letshuoer Mystic 8 fatiguing over long sessions?

Generally no. With so little bass pressure and a quiet background, the Letshuoer Mystic 8 is easy on the ears for long sessions, and the titanium shell is ergonomic despite weighing around 9 grams.
