What others ask  about FatFreq Maestro Mini

Is the bass on the FatFreq Maestro Mini sub-bass focused or mid-bass punchy?

Both, and lots of it. The FatFreq Maestro Mini has the deepest, most physical sub-bass rating I give, with punchy mid-bass on top, so you get rumble and thump together. What sets it apart is control, because one driver handles the low end and two smaller ones take the mids and highs. If you have been burned by bass that turns to mush, this one doesn't.

How do vocals sound on the FatFreq Maestro Mini?

Natural, and not buried. Keeping the bass driver separate from the two balanced armatures that handle mids and highs is the whole trick of the FatFreq Maestro Mini, so voices stay clear with all that low end going on underneath. They aren't forward, and on bass-heavy tracks the low end is always the star. It's a bass earphone first and last.

Is the treble on the FatFreq Maestro Mini smooth, sparkly or sharp?

Smooth. The FatFreq Maestro Mini has a soft, easy top end, and that's deliberate, because smooth treble is what stops this much bass from becoming tiring. You lose some sparkle and air in the trade.

Is the FatFreq Maestro Mini fatiguing over long sessions?

Its treble won't tire you, but be clear about what it is. The FatFreq Maestro Mini is exciting, not relaxing, and hours of bass this big is a lot for some people. Physically it's compact and light, a shell you can wear all day.

Is the soundstage of the FatFreq Maestro Mini intimate or wide?

Closer to intimate. The FatFreq Maestro Mini keeps the music close and lets the bass fill the room, which is what most people buying it want. It doesn't try to sound wide or airy.

Does the FatFreq Maestro Mini fit smaller ears?

Yes. The FatFreq Maestro Mini is compact and light, and it's one of the sets I'd recommend for smaller ears and for long listens. Get the seal right, because the bass depends on it. One honest note on the package is that the stock cable is weak for the price, so you may want to budget for a replacement 2-pin cable.
