The Performer 5+2 is the Performer 5 with two more drivers doing real work. A second dynamic driver adds depth and speed down low. A micro-planar tweeter up top brings out the snap of cymbals and the fine electronic detail most warm sets smear over. The shape is gently U-shaped: deep sub-bass, clean natural mids, treble with genuine sparkle that stops short of harsh.

You'll see it sold as "Performer 7" in some markets and "Performer 5+2" in others. Same earphone, two names. If you want one mid-tier set that handles every genre with real detail, this is among the strongest at the price.
